An alien message

Have you ever heard of the “Crop Circles”? Those huge and perfect geometrical drawings that have been appearing all across the world, and that are supposed to carry deep messages for mankind? Well, here is a little story, extracted from a Nassim Haraneim conference from the Resonance project, so you pop some smoke regarding the possible alien contacts (the images have been researched by me from the internet to illustrate the story, hence they where not).

The Carl Sagan message and the SETI project

200px-Arecibo_message.svg_It all started back then in the 1970’s when the famous physician Carl Sagan and other astrophysicists, taking advantage of the inauguration of the largest telescope of the world in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, decided to send a unique signal with a message to space with information coded in binary code about us and our planet, with the hope that soome alien race would capture it and, someday send back an answering signal. It was the SETI project, that searched for alien life.

The message was 1679 bits in length and it was sent in the direction of the stars cluster of M13, the one that was clearer and best aligned the night of the emision. It contains information about the situation of the solar system, our planet, and the human being, and it was designed by Frank Drake, Carl Sagan and other members from the SETI project from that time.

The number 1679 was chosen because it is the product of two prime numbers, and therefore it can only be decomposed in 23 lines and 73 columns, or 23 columns and 73 lines, in a way that who would read it would decide to arrange the data in a matrix form. The information arranged in the first way does not generate any kind of coherent information, but arranged in the second way it contains information about planet earth and the human specie, and was the hope that the ET’s more advanced than us, in the beginning, would clearly understand the message.

Basically what it included was the numbers from one to ten, the atomic numbers of hydrogen, carbon, nitrogen, oxigen, and phosphorus (components of the homo sapiens sapiens DNA, the specie that sent the message); the formulas of the sugars and bases in the nucleotides of the DNA; the number of nucleotides in the DNA and its double helix structure; the shape of a human being and its height; population of earth; the solar system; and an image of the Radio-telescope from Arecibo with its diameter, as signal of the type of technology used to make the transmission.

Seeing that the message would need 25,000 years to reach its destination (and the answer some others), the Arecibo message was more a demonstration of the human technological achievements in the 1970’s, than a real attempt to establish conversation with aliens, since the answer would only come (in case there was one) around the year 51,974 a.C, when in the beginning, none of the ones now reading this would be around here (at least in this incarnation).

The answer: First “crop circle”

Chilbolton2001daa_32But “wow surprise”. When the world had forgotten about the subject and only a few scientists where still in Arecibo monitoring space trying to capture any answer sign, in August 19th 2001, near the Chilbolton radio-telescope, in Hampshire, UK, the following binary message appeared engraved in the crop fields immediately in front of the installment that appears in the picture. In it there were two images, the first one, a supposed representation of the face of the senders, and the second one, an identical image to the one sent with the answers to the different parties that we had included.

Deciphering the binary code

aricebo_breakdown3The decoding of this code said more or less the following: we are made of carbon and silica, we have three helix of DNA, our head is bigger than our body, we inhabit in three planets of our solar system, and the technology that we used to send this message is the drawing underneath of the whole of the image.

Basically they were answering to the same parameters that the original message of the SETI had sent. The curious thing is that the last part, that was the representation of what it was supposed to be the technology used to send the message did not tell us a great deal, due to the fact that it was not very clear what type of technology it was or what device they were wanting to represent.

A year before

But it turns out that just a year before, 365 days previous to the date that this answer appeared in Chilbolton, another crop circle appeared that incredibly represents this image received in the message of 2001.

This image was studied and the conclusion was reached that it might well be an scheme also explained in binary code about the technology used and that would fit the last part of the transmission that would be received one year later. Interesting, it seems that the ET’s wanted to make clear for us, in case we did not catch it, all the content of their answer, even though it was with different messages along time and in different order (and I say, Why didn’t this appear after the original transmission? Is it because they already knew we were not going to know how to interpret it?)

A CD message

et_cropcircle_450_optBut the thing did not end there. Right a year later, in August 2002, another crop circle appeared in the same area, where you could see what it seemed to be a disc with a message also in binary code next to the face of an alien. Once this binary code was decoded, the message was more than surprising. Originally (in english) it says:

“Beware the bearers of FALSE gifts & their BROKEN PROMISES, Much PAIN but still time. (Damaged Word).

There is GOOD out there. We OPose DECEPTION. Conduit CLOSING (BELL SOUND)”.

Many Interpretations

Well, this whole story takes years giving game to those who study the extraterrestrial presence and its communications and in those who believe that everything is fake and a deception on a bestial scale. It is possible that they are answering us directly through the crop circles so that all of humanity will know about the message, and not just a few astrophysicists in a telescope, but hundreds of theories that dismantle it also run through the network, each one can draw their own conclusions.
